Man who got drunk, fell asleep during robbery held
December 31st, 2010 - 12:21 pm ICT by IANSMexico City, Dec 31 (IANS/EFE) A 20-year-old Mexican thief who picked up some bottles of liquor while robbing a house was arrested after he got drunk and fell asleep inside the property, authorities said.Miguel Angel Rosales Gomez broke into a house Sunday night in the city of Taretan and gathered up a number of items, including firearms, documents and ATM cards, he intended to steal, the Michoacan state Attorney General’s Office said.
Rosales Gomez found several bottles of beer and wine, got drunk and fell asleep inside the house.
The homeowner found him the next morning and called police, who woke the bumbling thief up and hauled him off to jail.
