Man stabs baby-girl during brawl with wife
October 22nd, 2011 - 6:45 pm ICT by IANSLondon, Oct 22 (IANS) A man in Britain allegedly knifed his seven-month-old baby daughter while having a heated row with wife.
Police had to be called to a flat in Wembley, north-west London, where they were confronted with a man wielding a knife while holding the baby. During the dramatic siege, police believe the 26-year-old man stabbed the baby inside the flat on Ealing Road, the Daily Mail said.
The baby was taken to hospital where she is said to be in ’stable’ condition. The man also suffered a minor stab wound and was taken to hospital but discharged after treatment.
The child’s mother, Ebony Jackson, had been living at her mother Anna’s Wembley home with her partner for three years.
The man, meanwhile, was taken into custody on suspicion of attempted murder and was under custody at a west London police station.
Officers from the Metropolitan Police’s Child Abuse Investigation Team have launched an investigation.
