liitleLittle Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey, Oct 5, (THAINDIAN NEWS) A suburban housing development in New Jersey was witness to a violent incident on Monday morning when a gunman killed his brother, fired at a woman who came for the victim’s rescue, before shooting himself. The incident took place at the Little Egg Harbor’s Tall Timbers townhouse development at around 10:13 in the morning, police officials have divulged.

In a news conference that was later organized on Monday afternoon, Ocean County prosecutor Marlene Lynch Ford told the media that Craig Mueller, 45 fired and killed his brother, 52-year-old Bryan Mueller at the development where the two brothers shared an apartment. The gunman also shot Kara Ellis, 21 who was one of their neighbors when she reportedly rushed to help Bryan Mueller. The authorities were informed about the incident after some of the residents of the development reported multiple gunshots after which the cops rushed to the spot. At the same time, Marlene Lynch Ford also divulged that after police dogs and SWAT teams thoroughly searched the apartment building, Craig Mueller’s body was found in the second-floor apartment where he lived with his brother. It is believed that the 45-year-old man killed the two victims with a semi-automatic gun before taking his own life.

Although it has been established that Craig Mueller was the one responsible for killing his brother as well as the female neighbor, the motive behind the murder still remains unclear. Initially, officials blocked off the streets in Little Egg Harbor township and locked down the schools as the search for the culprit was on. However, things gradually went back to normal after the gunman was found dead.
