Man, 71, becomes UK’s oldest dad of twins
October 30th, 2009 - 2:54 pm ICT by ANILondon, Oct 30 (ANI): Seventy one-year-old Richard Roden has become the oldest man in Britain to father twins after his 25-year-old wife Lisa gave birth to daughters, Emily and Ruby.
Ex-welder Roden is already a father to ten children from his two previous marriages.
He’s now enjoying fatherhood again and also getting used to explaining visitors that he is actually the father of the newborns and not their grandpa as they think.
“It’s easier this time around as I’ve had plenty of practice with children,” the Sun quoted him as saying.
He added: “We are going to try for a boy in two years’ time.
“I’ve only got three lads, so I’d like another son.” (ANI)
