Malaysian assemblyman urges Indian parents to send children to Tamil schools
January 7th, 2011 - 5:04 pm ICT by ANIKuala Lumpur, Jan 7 (ANI): Malaysian lawmaker Wong Koon has reportedly urged Malay Indian parents to admit their children to Tamil schools.
The Star quoted him as saying that student enrolment in Chinese schools has increased yearly because more Indian and Malay students were joining them, adding that the success of Chinese economy at international level is attracting pupils from different communities to take admission in these schools.
Koon also said that much importance must be given to the Tamil language as well, adding that India would one day become an industrialised country with vast business opportunities. (ANI)
