Malaysia to set up marketing centers for China, India goods
May 2nd, 2011 - 4:05 pm ICT by ANIJohor Baru (Malaysia), May 2 (ANI): Malaysia is planning to set up permanent trading centres within Iskandar Malaysia, in Johor city, to market a wider range of consumer products from China and India.
Abdul Ghani Othman, Chief executive for the state, said it was considering a few locations for these centres, based on suggestions by business associations.
“Iskandar Malaysia is set to become a shopping destination with the opening of Premium Outlet in November,” The Star quoted Othman, as saying.
“With these centres, tourists and visitors will be able to get their hands on not only branded goods but quality products from China and India as well,” he added.
Othman said it would provide consumers with products from various places in India, including Kerala, Puducherry, Gujarat and Punjab. (ANI)
