Malasawmfela stars in India under-16 10-0 football win

Charleston (West Virginia), July 19 (IANS) Malasawmfela shot in four goals to help the India under-16 football team beat West Virginia Olympic Development Programme Team 10-0 in a practice match here. The win Friday night was the visitors’ fifth consecutive win on their training cum practice tour here ahead of the finals of the Asian Championships in Uzbekistan in October.
Malasawmfela scored in the 18th, 33rd, 86th and the 90th minute. Taranjit Singh opened the score line in the eighth minute while Prem Kumar (38th, 50th) and Lalrindika (58th, 77th) scored a brace each. Bikramjit Singh rounded it off with a strike in injury time.
