The earthquake occurred Tuesday, October 14, 2008 at 01:04:24 UTC Coordinated Universal Time ) and Tuesday, October 14, 2008 at 08:04:24 AM at epicenter local time as reported by the U.S. Geological Survey.
The epicenter is 125 km (80 miles) WSW of General Santos, Mindanao, Philippines, 185 km (115 miles) S of Cotabato, Mindanao, Philippines, 1065 km (660 miles) SSE of MANILA, Philippines, 2325 km (1440 miles) ENE of JAKARTA, Java, Indonesia with the depth of 480.9 km (298.8 miles).
Previously, there was an earthquake on September 27th, 2008 with the magnitude of 6.1 on the Richter scale.
