London, June 25 (IANS) Pop diva Madonna has been named the world’s highest-earning musician by the Forbes magazine as she made 73 million pounds in the past year.
The “Frozen” singer topped the slot courtesy her sold-out Sticky and Sweet world tour and lucrative endorsement deals, reports contactmusic.com.
Rounding off the top three are divas Celine Dion and Beyonce Knowles with an annual earning of 66 million pounds and 58 million pounds respectively.
In order to compile the list of the year’s top earning musicians, the American business magazine considers money made from album sales, touring, publishing and endorsement deals from June 2008 and June 2009.
