Madonna donates money to Italian earthquake victims

London, April 8 (IANS) Pop diva Madonna has donated money to the victims of a devastating earthquake that struck the Abruzzo region of Italy Monday. Her ancestors are from the town of L’Aquila in the region.
The singer made a “substantial donation” for the relief effort following quake that left more than 200 dead, reported people.com.
“I am happy to lend a helping hand to the town that my ancestors are from. My heart goes out to the families that have lost loved ones or their homes,” said the pop star.
