Luxury buses to run on Delhi-Agra route

Agra, June 4 (IANS) Tourists can now travel from Delhi to Agra by two new luxury buses, an official of the Uttar Pradesh Roadways said here Wednesday. The Volvo buses, which are equipped with modern gadgets, were inducted into the Uttar Pradesh Roadways fleet Tuesday following an agreement between Delhi and Uttar Pradesh, the official said.
The buses will reach Agra around noon and return the same evening. The ticket would be priced Rs.331 one way per passenger.
Tourism circles in Agra have welcomed the initiative.
UP Roadways are planning to introduce another bus service from Agra to the Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi later this year.
