London, Nov. 18 (ANI): Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has been depicted as a whisky-swilling drunk in a comedy film starring top Liverpool players - Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher.
In the movie called ‘Fifteen Minutes That Shook the World,’ Man U skipper Gary Neville is labelled “a rat who hates Scousers,” The Sun reports. In one scene, Ferguson “look-alike” called McTaggart phones a player, who resembles Neville, to celebrate Liverpool trailing Milan by three goals. The Neville character is wearing a United No 2 shirt bearing the name ‘Rat Boy’ on the back and responds by singing about how he hates Scousers - a parody of the song United fans taunt at their archrivals. When he gets the shocking news of Liverpool’s fightback, McTaggart is seen knocking back a bottle of scotch which has the words ‘Manager of the Month but not as good as Bob Paisley’ on it.Liverpool skipper Gerrard, 29, and vice-captain Carragher, 31, have cameo roles in the film.Although the end product of Liverpool playwright Dave Kirby’s 43-minute film may have come as a shock to the Kop stars as well, but Ferguson and Neville are likely to be unimpressed by the involvement of Gerrard, Carragher and others at Anfield.Last times when Manchester City had made fun of Man U, Ferguson had slammed it as a “small club with a small mentality”.
Manchester City’s ‘Welcome to Manchester’ posters were erected in the summer after Carlos Tevez’s shock switch across the city. (ANI)
