London, April 8 (IANS) British singer Leona Lewis met the writer of her hit song “Bleeding Love” for the first time last week. The former boy band member Jesse McCartney met Lewis in a bar in Los Angeles after he found out that she was drinking there, thesun.co.uk reports. McCartney used to be in the US kid group Dream Street and he gave her the song two years ago.
He said: “It was good to finally meet her. She is lovely. I thought our paths would have crossed before now. We didn’t talk much business really. I thought it was best not to seeing as she was chilling.”
McCartney’s new single “Leavin” is set to be out in June and he added: “We talked about how crazy it’s been for her over the last few weeks. The track opened a lot of doors for me too.”
Lewis is thrilled that she is the first British singer to have a No.1 hit in the US in 21 years. She now wants to try to make it in Hollywood.
She said: “I’m a real movie buff so I’d love to try my hand at creating a film, whether it be writing, producing or directing.”
