London, Dec 22 (ANI): Princess Diana poured out her heart and the inner turmoil at the breakdown of her marriage in a series of letters to her beautician Janet Filderman, which are set to go under the hammer.

The 30 letters, written on headed Kensington Palace notepaper in the mid to late-1980s, have been published for the first time on Dec 21.

The letters shed new light on the turmoil in Diana’s life and her struggle to cope with living under the spotlight.

Her words to Filderman show that after six years of marriage she was putting on a front, pretending that all was well, to hide her hurt and confusion after Prince Charles rekindled his affair with Camilla Parker Bowles.

“I wish that I could cope… but after six years I find everything that much more of a struggle and just cannot see a light at the end of the tunnel,” the Daily Express quoted Diana writing in August 1987.

“I know there are a million ­people worse off than me and that I should do all that I can for them, but at the end of the day I have to live with myself emotionally.

“At the moment I am upside down and confused (so boring for those around me) and putting on this act is desperate, but if it keeps people off my back then surely it must be worth it,” she added.

The letters will be up for auction at the Radisson Edwardian Hotel at Heathrow in London on February 13 and are expected to rake in a whopping 20,000 pounds. (ANI)
