London, Jan 13 (THAINDIAN NEWS) A teacher who was removed from her job after she wrote and published what officials of her school later referred to as “racy novel” will appear before an employment tribunal to claim unfair dismissal.

The 40-year-old teacher, Leonora Rustamova who had taught at the Calder High School for the past 11 years was sacked from the school after she used real students and teachers’ names for her novel. She chose to call the story, “Stop! Don’t Read This!” and it had teenage fantasies, violence and a criminal drug den in its contents.

The book spoke about several teachers and students of the school. It had several expletive details and that offended the authorities of the school who eventually asked her to leave her post. She was an English tutor at the school and her dismissal caused some students to demonstrate while parents advanced her cause to be reinstated.

She claimed later after she was dismissed that the whole episode was made bigger than it really was.

Her dismissal was in May 2009 and after almost two years she will be appearing before the tribunal to prove that she was not fairly dismissed. The hearing is expected to last for about four days.
