London, July 27 (IANS) First she hired Michael Jackson’s dance guru Travis Payne and now Leona Lewis has turned to mind expert Paul McKenna to overcome a crippling loss of confidence issue before going on a 14-month world tour.
According to thesun.co.uk, Lewis is undergoing a series of therapy sessions ahead of global gigs to ensure her nerves are kept at bay. Despite being a far cry from the anxious girl, who stood before us on “The X Factor” three years ago, the singer doesn’t want to take any chances for her massive, 14-month tour which is having shed-loads of money thrown at it.
“Seeing as Leona is on the path to becoming a global touring powerhouse, no corners will be cut. She already has bags more poise and confidence than she used to, but she’s a natural born worrier. Bosses at SyCo want to make sure her performance is as perfect and polished as an artiste who has been around for years,” said a source close to her.
Compared to some of mental miracle worker Paul’s former clients that include David Beckham, George Michael, the Duchess of York, Stephen Fry and Ronnie Wood, Lewis’ issues will be a walk in the park.
Madonna’s ex-husband Guy Ritchie went to Paul to successfully quit smoking so Lewis will have nerves of steel once she sings to the world, said the source.
Bosses believe their vocal champ will be confident enough to be presented as an angelic songbird and also an R&B vixen during the Garden of Eden-themed shows from next summer.
