London, July 12 (IANS) Oscar winning actor Sir Michael Caine says the late Heath Ledger will receive a posthumous Oscar nomination for his role as The Joker in “The Dark Knight”. Ledger’s performance is already getting rave reviews from preview audiences and cast mates, reports contactmusic.com.

Caine said: “I think he’ll get a posthumous Oscar nomination at least. I just watched him and talked to him for three days and I thought he was extraordinary.”

Ledger passed away in January at the age of 28 after taking an overdose of medicine. “The Dark Knight” is set to hit theatres July 18.
