Beirut, Oct 11 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Lebanon has really got the appetite for big things. Currently, the country holds the record for the largest potato and the biggest dish of hummus. The country just added another “massive” record.

Lebanon unfurled what it claims to be the world’s largest flag. Morocco was the holder of the world’s largest flag with a flag that measured 60,000 square meters. That record might not stand for long, if the officials of the Guinness World Record are convinced that Lebanon’s new flag meets its required criteria.

The new flag, which was unveiled on Sunday, is reported to be 65,000 square meters. The country’s military released pictures of the flag at the country’s Rayak air base. The image of the flag was taken from the air.

The flag was said to have been manufactured in Kuwait.

It was not known if representatives from the Guinness World Record were available during the unfurling. However before the flag can be entered into the books as the biggest in the world, the Guinness World Record will have to satisfy itself with certain criteria.
