Laurence Olivier was riddled with insecuritiesMay 17th, 2008 - 1:49 pm ICT by admin
London, May 17 (ANI): He was the finest actor of his time but in the later years of his career Laurence Olivier felt rejected by his profession, says his erstwhile co-star Greta Scacchi.
The duo acted together in the television drama The Ebony Tower, which was made five years before Lord Oliviers death in 1989.
And now, Scacchi recalls that in between shooting a bedroom scene, Olivier wept on her shoulder.
He told her: Oh Greta, I havent got any work after this for six months. No one wants me any more…
He was acknowledged as the greatest actor of his day, yet he was riddled with insecurities, The Daily Express quoted Scacchi, as saying.
I decided there and then that I would never allow myself to get like that, she added. (ANI)
