Landmine blast was administrative failure: Paswan
November 18th, 2008 - 10:09 pm ICT by IANS - Send to a friend:Kolkata, Nov 18 (IANS) Central Minister Ram Vilas Paswan Tuesday dubbed the Nov 2 landmine explosion in West Bengal’s West Midnapore district as a failure of the local administration.”This was a local administration failure,” he told reporters on the sidelines of an event for signing an agreement between National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC) and West Bengal Mineral Development and Trading Corporation Limited (WBMDTCL).
A landmine exploded on the convoy of Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee and two union ministers Paswan and Jitin Prasada at Lalgarh when they were returning after unveiling of the foundation stone of JSW Steel’s mega project at Salboni. Six policemen were injured in the blast.
