Washington DC, Nov 30 (THAINDIAN NEWS) In a very tragic accident, 4 police officers were killed in a Washington state coffee shop on Sunday in the morning at 8am PST. The police have now cornered the suspect Maurice Clemmons.
The police have locked down a Seattle neighborhood in the hopes of arresting the Lakewood shooting suspect Maurice Clemmons. Police were using teargas and were also firing shots and encouraging Maurice Clemmons, 37, to surrender. According to reports, a Seattle home is surrounded by a SWAT team and a robot will be sent inside soon.
Since in the shootout one of the police officers was agile enough to shoot a round of bullets in the direction of the shooter, so there was a speculation that the shooter was wounded. And according to reports, the suspect has a gunshot wound in the abdomen that could be fatal if untreated. That information came from associates of the suspect who helped him overnight and were later picked up by police.
Maurice Clemmons has a jail history. According to The Seattle Times, Clemmons was released from the Peirce County Jail last week, despite facing eight felony charges. Maurice Clemmons posted $15,000 with a bail bondsman, who paid the remainder of the man’s $150,000 bail.
