LA PD arrests 88 people during vice raid on prostitution in hostess bar
November 10th, 2010 - 6:58 pm ICT by ANILondon, Nov 10 (ANI): Officers of the Los Angeles Police Department have arrested 81 women and seven men during a vice raid at a hostess bar.
Police arrived at Club 907, a hostess bar in downtown Los Angeles, and found 400 people crowded into a space with a capacity for 250, the Daily Mail reported.
Those arrested were held on a number of charges including prostitution, lewd conduct, gambling and the use of counterfeit identification.
Club visitors are allowed to pay for time and companionship with women but nudity and stripping are banned.
More than 30 officers took part in the raid led by Lieutenant Paul Vernon who said some of those arrested may have been illegal immigrant women trafficked into the US and then forced to work at the club. (ANI)
