London, April 9 (IANS) Legendary alternative rock band Nirvana’s frontman Kurt Cobain’s $530 million estate is reported to have been looted by his trustees, reports the Mirror online.
Cobain left the money to his wife Courtney Love and the couple’s daughter, Frances Bean, following his death in 1994.
“I have never seen such greed and moral turpitude. This case is going to make Bernard Madoff (one of the trustees) look warm and fuzzy,” Love’s lawyer Rhonda J. Holmes said.
Holmes claimed Love only noticed the millions had gone missing “when there wasn’t any left”.
So far, Holmes has only been able to track down $30 million from Cobain’s estate.
A series of civil cases are due to be filed within the next 30 days in an attempt to reclaim the millions.
