He hinted that the Maoist proposal to adopt proportional system would not be accepted by his party under any circumstances, reported Nepalnews.

Koirala said that nobody has the right to keep the nation in a state of indecision. He also said he doubted Maoist chairman Prachanda’s commitment to holding the Constituent Assembly election.

The Maoists had quit the coalition government on October 5 after Koirala-led Nepali Congress (NC) did not agree to their demand for declaring the Himalayan country as a republic and had also called for a proportional representation system.

The Maoists have summoned the special session of the interim parliament to fulfil their key demands. The seven-party alliance has adjourned the special session till October 28 to buy time for discussions before the House goes for voting on the Maoists’ proposals. (ANI)
