Kiwi women find their happiness in family, men in freedom: Survey
July 13th, 2010 - 3:04 pm ICT by ANIWellington, July 13 (ANI): Kiwi women seem to find their happiness amongst their families, while happiness for men means freedom, says a new survey.
The survey conducted by Synovate found that eighty-two per cent of females gain the most happiness from their family while men prefer their freedom (36 per cent) and time to pursue their leisure activities (32 per cent).
According to the New Zealand Herald, money ranked second in sources of happiness for both women (57 per cent) and men (55 per cent).
Intimacy ranked low with both men and women - both chose rest as the happiest time of the day.
Women outscored men in the smile stakes, scoring 7.1 out of 10 for life satisfaction compared with the men, who scored 6.9.
Women aged 60 and over are the happiest group, with a mean of 7.7 out of 10.
Other things that made both men and women happy were good health, friends and boyfriends/girlfriends. (ANI)
