Kiwi man facing criminal charge after trying to have ’sex with sheep’
August 15th, 2010 - 4:57 pm ICT by ANIWellington, Aug 15 (ANI): A Kiwi man who was allegedly caught while he was trying to have sex with a sheep is facing a criminal charge.
The 34-year-old Mid Canterbury man appeared in the Ashburton District Court and was remanded on bail on one charge of attempting to commit an act of indecency with a sheep, reports the New Zealand Herald.
The lawyer representing the man applied for a suppression order prohibiting the publication of his name, occupation and address.
It is believed that a woman jogging saw the alleged incident on the outskirts of a small town, about an hour away from Christchurch, and reported it to police.
The man has applied for legal aid and will reappear in court on Aug 23. (ANI)
