New York, April 25 (THAINDIAN NEWS) This year marks the 400th anniversary of the King James Bible. The King James Bible is one of the many English Bibles currently in existence. However the King James Bible was the first English translation of the Bible.

After 400 years, the King James Bible is still popular among some Bible reading adults. In a recent survey carried out by LifeWay Research, about 67 percent of all Americans who own a Bible have the King James Version. It is estimated that 89 percent of adult Americans own a Bible.

The numbers are quite higher regarding those who regularly read their Bible. The study found that those who read their Bibles at least once every month do so with the King James Bible. When the age variation is used, Bible owners who are above the age of 55 almost exclusively use the King James Bible. The study showed that 76 percent of them had the King James Bible. The study was conducted between the 2nd and the 6th of March. More than 1,000 adult respondents were involved in the study.

The use of the King James Bible in people under the age of 35 years was much lower at 56 percent.
