Kidnapped Missouri Girl, Alisa Maier Found Unharmed at Car Wash
July 8th, 2010 - 12:09 am ICT by Angela Kaye MasonJuly 7 (THAINDIAN NEWS) A twenty four hour nightmare has finally ended for the parents of Alisa Maier after the four year old girl was found safe and unharmed at a car wash which was located 80 miles away from where she had been snatched away.
The Missouri child was taken by someone described as a white man with dark hair in his late teens or early twenties, in a dark colored sedan by the only witness to the kidnapping, Alisa’s six year old brother. Witnesses who saw the child dropped off at the car wash in Fenton say the man looked more like he was in his early thirties with dark skin.
Both accounts describe the car as a dark sedan, and the police are searching for more information on that car. Witnesses at the car wash also said that the car has a loud muffler, and is missing wheel covers on the drivers side tires.
Alisa was said to have been unharmed when the police found her in the suburb of St Louis, after a concerned citizen called them to report a little boy who was wandering around alone at the car wash, just at 10 pm. That “little boy” was actually Alisa, but her kidnappers had cut her hair.
Alisa’s aunt, Carrie Doyle gave a statement to ‘ABC’ proclaiming the families thankfulness. “Right now my heart’s racing … that we found her. This community really came together, really came together, and I’m so grateful for that.”
Alisa was playing outside of her home in Louisiana Missouri with her 6 year old brother on Monday, as their mother cooked dinner in the house. Suddenly, the brother saw a strange car drive up, and a man inside ordered his sister to get in the car. She did as she was told, and the car drove away, with her brother looking on.
Roy Harrison, who is Alisa’s grandfather is begging for the kidnapper to turn himself in. “We tell him that he did the first step. That’s what I tell everybody, he’s done the first step. He needs to step up and admit he has a problem and turn himself in and be accountable for what he has done.”
If anyone has any information, they are urged to contact the police before the kidnapper does this again. The next child he could take may never be found. Someone out there has to know of a dark colored sedan with tire covers missing and a loud muffler who would have been in that area at that time, who would do something such as this.
