Khaleda Zia to meet Manmohan Singh Wednesday

Manmohan Singh Dhaka, Sep 6 (IANS)) Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) chairperson and leader of the opposition Khaleda Zia will meet visiting Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh at the Sonargaon Hotel here Wednesday.

“The meeting will finalise the points that we will make at the meeting with the Indian leader to ensure a win-win situation for peoples of our two countries,” acting secretary general of BNP, Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, said about the party leaders’ meet Tuesday night.

Senior leaders of the party were expected to meet Tuesday night to discuss a range of bilateral issues that would be placed at Wednesday’s meeting with the visiting prime minister, the BBN news portal reported.

Some party members, who are former diplomats and have expertise on bilateral issues, were asked to attend.

Indian High Commissioner to Dhaka, Rajeet Mitter, Sunday invited her to meet the Indian leader.
