Keira Knightley absolutely terrified of singingJuly 28th, 2008 - 5:29 pm ICT by ANI
Melbourne , July 28 (ANI): She may be one of the most talented actresses in Hollywood , but theres one thing that Keira Knightley would rather not do sing.
The Pirates Of The Caribbean star got a bolt from the blue when she came to know that she had to master carrying a tune when she chose the role of Vera, the lover of legendary poet Dylan Thomas, in the romantic drama The Edge Of Love.
In fact, the 23-year-old actress found the experience so mortifying that she has no willingness to do it again.
“It was terrifying. My mum wrote the script and she actually originally wrote the other character Caitlin (played by Sienna Miller) for me … but then I chose the character Vera and she said OK, then I am going to put singing into it,”” The Daily Telegraph quoted her, as sayinig.
She added: “I did actually have to sing live when there were a couple of hundred extras around and I was absolutely terrified. I thought my knees were going to buckle, and the first couple of takes I sounded like a pubescent boy.””
The Edge Of Love is a love triangle between Welsh poet Thomas, his wife Caitlin (Sienna Miller) and Thomas’’s childhood sweetheart Vera. (ANI)
