Kate Moss gets infection from pedicureApril 18th, 2009 - 9:13 pm ICT by IANS
London, April 18(IANS) British supermodel Kate Moss dumped her five-star salon to get a pedicure in Chinatown but ended up getting a fungal infection.
“Kate fancied a little pampering when she went to New York for the launch of her clothing range in Topshop. She normally uses beauty salons in the five-star hotels but this time decided to pop into a parlour in Chinatown,” femalefirst.co.uk quoted quoted a source close to the model as saying.
“She regrets the decision now as the nail on her big toe on her right foot has turned yellow and has become really thick and ugly. She is certain that she has caught a fungal infection from the cheap salon,” she said.
Moss, 35, will have to lay off the booze for the duration due to her medication.
“Kate was looking forward to letting her hair down with her friend at a musical festival in California. But now she knows that she has to lay off booze for some time due to her medication,” the source said.
“She is really annoyed as she was looking forward to wearing open-toe sandals now that the weather is heating up. But now she is going to keep her feet undercover for a little longer.”
