Kali temple idols vandalised in Bangladesh
April 13th, 2011 - 8:51 pm ICT by IANSDhaka, April 13 (IANS) Nine idols at a 200-year-old Kali temple in Bangladesh have been vandalised by unidentified miscreants, officials said Wednesday.
Four of the idols were found beheaded Tuesday night at the temple in Sudrahabi village of Kaliganj sub-district, temple committee president Harendranath Barman told bdnews24, demanding exemplary punishment to those involved in the crime.
Sub-district police officer-in-charge Prajit Kumar Roy said police have launched a manhunt to arrest the culprits.
