London, Feb 15 (IANS) Hollywood stars Jude Law and Rachel Weisz have walked away with top honours at Whatsonstage.com Awards for their theatre performances.
While Law won the award for his performance in 2009 adaptation of the famous Shakespeare play “Hamlet”, Weisz was honoured for “A Streetcar Named Desire”.
The “Star Trek” star Patrick Stewart walked away with a gong for the best supporting actor in a play for Claudius, reports femalefirst.co.uk. The 69-year-old actor was also honoured alongside his “X-Men” co-star Sir Ian McKellen, for their pairing in “Waiting for Godot”.
“It’s been wonderful to see such amazing talent get the recognition they deserve - and what could be better than receiving an award chosen by the ticket-buying public,” said Terri Paddock, editorial director of Whatsonstage.com.
