Jose Adrian Cano Arrested Over Mocospace Scandal

Encinitas, Oct 3, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Social networking sites have become part and parcel of modern generation now-a-days among all age groups. Precisely it serves as boon and at times back fires. A 20-year -old man Jose Adrian Cano was arrested last Tuesday for having sex with a 15-year-old girl who accused him of raping her after the two met on social networking site Mocospace. The law enforcement officials said that Jose Adrian Cano will remain jailed without any bail.
San Diego County Sheriff’s Department said that the man was arrested on charges of having sex with a minor and he was booked into San Diego County Jail on suspicion of three heinous crimes. The three felonies are contacting a minor through social networking site, intending to get intimate with her and also having sex with her. The police said that the girl initially lied about the whole incident to hide the truth from her parents. She initially said that she was raped by three Latino men on her way back home from school on Friday.
San Diego County Sheriff’s Captain Sherri Sarro said that the San Diego Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force helped the police to unravel the truth behind the whole story. Last Monday, the investigators came up with the report of the whole matter and they said that the girl lied to the law enforcement officials as she wanted to cover up the whole incident. The law enforcement officials believe that there can be other underage victims in the whole case who fell prey to Jose Adrian Cano. If convicted Jose Adrian Cano can face three years of imprisonment. The law enforcement officials said that his preliminary hearing is scheduled on October 13.
