London, Dec 12 (ANI): In a bid to unite the two factions of the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) led by Mohammed Younis and Abbas Butt in London, Sabir Ansari, special envoy of JKLF leader Yasin Malik, today announced dissolution of the Younis faction.
“In its place I am setting up a convening committee, which includes Aslam Mirza, Choudhry Mohammed Aftab, Irfan Raja, Dr Ishtiaq, and Rehan Raja. Aslam Mirza will be Secretary of the convening committee and he will directly report to me about the progress of the convening committee,” Ansari told reporters here.
Terming the breaking up of the group as a ‘tragedy’, Ansari said, “Our nationalist cause greatly suffered because of these internal problems.”
He said that the other faction of the JKLF led by Butt has assured him that they would also dissolve their group once they have their Central Committee meeting.
“I request all sincere JKLF members to fully cooperate with the Convening Committee that we can have united and energetic JKLF to advance the cause of an independent, secular and tolerant Jammu and Kashmir,” Ansari added. (ANI)
