Jesus may have visited UK
November 26th, 2009 - 1:47 pm ICT by ANILondon, November 26 (ANI): Jesus may have visited Britain and walked the Glastonbury grounds, a new documentary alleges.
Researcher Dr Gordon Strachan believes it was probable that Jesus treaded several places in the country with his uncle, Joseph of Arimathaea, for his understanding of spirituality.
The expert looks at the theories that the Lord could even have built a chapel near Glastonbury, the site of Britain’s biggest rock festival, reports The Sun.
The documentary, entitled ‘And Did Those Feet’, after the hymn Jerusalem by William Blake, is due to be launched at London’s British Film Institute on November 27.
Producer Ted Harrison said: “If someone wanted to learn about the spirituality of the classical and Greek world, he’d have to come to Britain.
“But there is nothing specific by way of archaeological finds. Jesus’s shoe has not turned up.” (ANI)
