London, June 8 (ANI): A new study has revealed that Jesus Christ is the dead person whom most Britons would love to meet, followed by Princess Diana.
The poll of 3,000 people, conducted to launch Primeval series 3 on DVD, saw one in three persons picking the son of God.
Third on the list was poet-playwright William Shakespeare, while Albert Einstein came in fourth.
Wrapping up the top five was Hollywood legend Marilyn Monroe.
“These results show that Jesus Christ will always be the British public’s ‘Superstar’,” the Daily Express quoted a spokesman for Primeval 3 as saying.
“But we were fully expecting Princess Diana to top the poll as she won the hearts of the nation and no one has ever really forgotten her place within the Royal family or the impact she made on ordinary people,” he added.
Artist Leonardo da Vinci, best known for the Mona Lisa, took sixth place, while Elvis Presley was seventh.
Author Roald Dahl, singer Freddie Mercury and activist Martin Luther King complete the top 10.
The list also mentioned reality TV star Jade Goody on 44th place.
As regards which era Britons would most like to visit if given the chance, a fifth of the respondents said Victorian Britain.
About 18 per cent said that they would be interested in seeing Britain post-war, while only 10 per cent would be happy visiting prehistoric Britain.
The Primeval 3 spokesman said: “It’s not really surprising that coming face to face with a prehistoric dinosaur isn’t too appealing.” (ANI)
