Janet Jackson puts off concerts till Saturday
October 1st, 2008 - 11:50 am ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )Toronto, Oct 1 (IANS) Pop diva Janet Jackson, who was rushed to Montreal’s Royal Victoria Hospital just before her show at the Bell Centre here, was discharged two hours later.Reports said the pop star was treated for exhaustion at the Montreal hospital Monday night.
However, a hospital spokeswoman refused to give the reason for her admission, citing “patient confidentiality”.
The spokeswoman said: “All I can tell you is she was at the Royal Vic Monday evening. After two hours, she was discharged.”
Later, a statement put out by Jackson’s representatives said the singer was rushed to hospital after she was suddenly taken ill during sound check just before the concert.
Announcing cancellation of her concerts in Boston Wednesday and in Philadelphia Thursday, her representatives said the pop diva will recuperate till Saturday when she resumes her on-going Rock Witchu tour.
