Jagger turns 65 but vows to rock onJuly 26th, 2008 - 1:25 pm ICT by IANS
London, July 26 (IANS) Rolling Stones singer Mick Jagger turned 65 Saturday, but has no plans to stop rocking. He vows to carry on performing and touring as long as he can. During a recent radio interview, Jagger said: “I’m sure the Rolling Stones will do more things and more records and more tours. We’ve got no plans to stop any of that, really.”
The band has made a documentary called “Shine A Light” directed by Martin Scorsese. And the Oscar wining filmmaker said: “The Stones are about performance, which is why they are still performing after 40 years.”
Thesun.co.uk quoted him as saying: “The lyrics, the tone and their attitude - I am attracted to that kind of music and what they are saying.
“It’s great that the Stones are still together and still touring. My film might give some sense of what it’s like as a working band on stage for generations to come, and for them to see this and appreciate who the band are.”
