New Delhi, Feb 18 (IANS) Cancer-stricken British reality TV star Jade Goody has invited Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty to attend her wedding ceremony Sunday.
“I called her (Goody), hoping it (deteriorating health) was only a rumour, but she confirmed it. Jade being Jade, shifted the topic to her wedding on Sunday and she invited me for it,” Shilpa posted on her blog www.shilpashettylive.com/blog/.

Shilpa writes that she went through a gamut of emotions when Goody invited her for her wedding with 21-year-old Jack Tweed.

“It was a lot of mixed feelings - happiness, helplessness and extreme sadness,” she said.

The two met in 2007 on the British reality show “Celebrity Big Brother” and Shilpa became a victim of Goody’s racial discrimination on the show. Later, Shilpa and Goody became good friends.

Shilpa, however, won’t be able to attend the wedding due to her prior commitments. She will be shooting in a Kuala Lumpur.

The actress is extremely concerned for Goody’s kids - Bobby, five, and Freddie, four.

“She (Goody) wants the best for her kids and I hope Jack makes a good father to them. I also hope for a miracle to happen for her children’s sake.”

Last year, Goody came to India to be a part of the Indian version of “Celebrity Big Brother” - “Bigg Boss 2″, which was being hosted by Shilpa.

However, in the second week itself, Goody was informed that she was suffering from cervical cancer and she had to leave the show for treatment.

Now Goody’s ailment has spread to her liver, bowels and groin and according to doctors, she has only months to live.
