Jade Goody hopeful after surgerySeptember 16th, 2008 - 12:35 am ICT by IANS
London, Sep 15 (IANS) British television star Jade Goody has said she was given new hope in her cancer battle after doctors told her that they had caught it “just in the nick of time”.Recovering in hospital from an eight-hour hysterectomy, she told a friend she could now look to the future, reports thesun.co.uk.
“Her chances (of recovery) are way higher because they have nipped it (cancer) in the bud. Now the operation is out of the way. It’s a real boost for her and she’s so much more hopeful,” the friend said.
“She will have to deal with more chemo and radiotherapy but she’s strong and will be able to deal with it.”
Goody has been moved out of the intensive care unit at London’s Royal Marsden Hospital but will remain under observation for up to a fortnight.
