Iran’s biggest refinery goes up in flames
September 8th, 2011 - 5:02 am ICT by IANSTehran, Sep 7 (IANS) At least four workers were injured as fire broke out at Iran’s biggest refinery Wednesday, the semi-official Fars news agency reported.
Deputy chief of Iranian Parliament’s Energy Commission, Abdollah Kabi in a statement said that the fire broke out in the Abadan Refinery’s cracker unit which produces gasoline, Xinhua quoted him as saying in the news report.
Firefighters were trying to contain the fire and exact cause of the accident could not be immediately known, Kabi added.
