London, Aug 12 (IANS) Iranian origin actress Shohreh Aghdashloo says she will never leave the US and go back to her native country because she would not be able to handle the scrutiny there. Aghdashloo, who acted in “The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants”, left Iran almost 20 years ago, contactmusic.com reports. She claims Iranians don’t like her success in Hollywood.
She said: “Their repressed Muslim government hates the fact that I’m an actress. But they still all see my movies, even though my films are not allowed to be shown there. But everything’s under the table. Everyone sells on the black market. They get pirated copies and then someone copies the copies.”
