Iran launches fighter jet squadron
March 20th, 2011 - 5:30 am ICT by IANSTehran, March 20 (IANS) The Iranian Air Force has launched a squadron of its home-built Saeqheh fighter jets, Xinhua reported Saturday.
“The production of this kind of aircraft has been developing at high speed, and a squadron of these fighter jets has been launched,” Iran’s state-run Press TV quoted General Mohammad Alavi, air force’s deputy commander operations, as saying.
He said Iran has also produced bombs with huge tonnage and high destructive capabilities.
The official added that the Iranian Army has successfully ended the first stage of the mass-production of the bombs and it is now working to upgrade their efficiency.
