Tehran, April 25 (IANS) Iran Sunday fired five missiles from its warships as part of the ongoing large-scale military exercise, dubbed “Great Prophet 5″, in the Persian Gulf and the Straight of Hormuz, the state-run Press TV reported.
“Homemade missiles fired from coast-to-sea and sea-to-sea hit a single target simultaneously,” the report said.

The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) also carried out ground assaults to repel hypothetical enemies from the Iranian territory.

The IRGC began a massive military exercise Thursday to demonstrate the country’s defence capabilities.

The exercise coincided with the 31st anniversary of the establishment of the IRGC.
