Indian trade minister arrives in Uruguay
May 3rd, 2011 - 12:05 am ICT by IANSMontevideo, May 2 (IANS) Indian Minister for Trade and Industry Jyotiraditya Scindia arrived in Uruguay Monday, leading a business delegation, Prensa Latina reported.
Scindia will meet Uruguayuan Foreign Minister Luis Almagro and address a business seminar organised by the Indian embassy.
Vice President Danilo Astori and Industry, Energy and Mining Minister Roberto Kreimerman would attend the seminar to be held later Monday.
Trade between India and Uruguay rose by almost 50 percent in 2010 compared to the previous year.
Indian companies have invested in Uruguay’s informatics, steel, mining and livestock industries.
