London, Mar 15 (ANI): An Indian origin dentist is said to have had sex with a patient of his and then forced her stay in a dark room in his house for five hours.

Surinder Hundle, 44, who is married and who appears on the TV programme Ten Years Younger, was allegedly afraid of being caught by his ‘psycho’ practice nurse, with whom he was also having an affair, and hence forced the woman to stay in the dark room.

Hundle, who is the former face of Oral B toothpaste, faces being struck off for seducing the patient on the couch of his exclusive dental clinic and at his marital home.

The woman, a teacher referred to as Patient A at the hearing, said the relationship began after Hundle said during a consultation: “You’re a very sexy lady,” and: “I wonder what it would be like to kiss that mouth.”

A fitness to practise hearing was told that after meeting in November 2000, Hundle and Patient A made regular appointments to have sex at the Lund Osler clinic where he worked, a stone’s throw from Harrods in Knightsbridge.

She claimed she had no idea he was married until his receptionist told her that his wife had just had a baby in 2007. But the affair continued, and in September 2008, by which time Hundle was separated, he invited her to his home.

But she claimed that after having sex at 1am in front of a film called Hot Sex In St Tropez, he made her stay in a dark bedroom for five hours because his dental nurse was outside.

“He told me I probably would not be able to go to school the next day and that he might have to lock me in another room as it would not be safe for me, which really frightened me,” the Daily Mail quoted her as saying.

“He told me I must not use or flush the loo or switch on any lights. I thought I could make things worse if I went downstairs and demanded to be let out,” she said.

When she tried to creep downstairs at around 4am, he barked: “I thought I told you to stay.”

She claims he told her: “I never promised her anything, I can have sex with who I want. I’m going through a divorce. She is a psycho.”

Sean Larkin, for the General Dental Council, said Hundle’s behaviour had left Patient A “intimidated and vulnerable”.

After their final meeting at his home, she claimed he put pressure on her to keep quiet about the relationship.

When she contacted the nurse and Hundle’s wife, he allegedly sent her a text saying she was “destroying his life” and had “caused enormous damage”.Hundle admits he had sex with Patient A at his home but denies anything took place at his surgery.

He accepts she went to his house for sex on September 24, 2008, but denies the incident with his nurse. He has accepted his behaviour was inappropriate but not that it was sexually motivated or an abuse of his position. (ANI)
