Indian envoy to UAE meets Ras Al Khaimah ruler
June 6th, 2012 - 11:29 pm ICT by IANSRas Al Khaimah, June 6 (IANS/WAM) India’s Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) M.K. Lokesh Wednesday met the ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, Sheikh Saud bin Saqr al Qasimi.
During the meeting at the Dheit Palace, the Sheikh and the Indian ambassador reviewed bilateral relations between the two countries and stressed the need to bolster ties.
A number of senior state officials also attended the meeting.
The Indian community in the UAE, numbering 1.75 million, constitutes 30 percent of the total population. It is the largest expatriate community in the country.
