India register their lowest score at Adelaide Oval

Adelaide, Feb 17 (IANS) India’s 153 while chasing a target of 204 Sunday was their lowest total at the Adelaide Oval. Earlier, India’s lowest at the venue was 157 against Australia Dec 15, 1991.
Australia’s 50-run win Sunday was also their fourth in as many ODIs against India at Adelaide Oval.
Australia’s 203 for nine is their highest innings total against India in the last three completed games (excluding the rain-affected game at Brisbane, Feb 3).
In their previous two matches, they had scored 193 at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai, Oct 17, and 159 at Melbourne Cricket Ground Feb 10.
Australia’s total is also their lowest innings total against India at Adelaide Oval, obliterating their 262 for 8 Jan 26, 1986.
Both Australia’s Adam Gilchrist and New Zealand’s Brendon McCullum share the record for effective five dismissals in an innings twice against India
