Identity of lovers pictured having sex at Sydney’s clock tower still a mystery
November 25th, 2009 - 5:41 pm ICT by ANIMelbourne, Nov 25 (ANI): The identity of the lovers, who romped on the balcony of Sydney’s clock tower is still a mystery, with the building’s management saying the place is not accessible to everyone.
Management of UniLodge, the student residential building housing the clock tower directly across the road from the Broadway Shopping Centre, insisted that there was no way the pair could be residents.
The building’s assistant manager Ravi Krishna also revealed that while the rooftop was accessible to those who live in the building, it was impossible to scale the wall that led to the clock tower.
“To be honest, I’m very surprised by these pictures,” the Daily Telegraph quoted him as saying.
“Students can access the rooftop with a swipe card but it’s impossible to get to the tower.
“Maintenance staff only ever go there if there is a problem with the clock and that hasn’t happened for a few months.
“I guess they’re students and they probably can find a way to do things as they finished exams on Friday and had a party to celebrate but we certainly haven’t heard anything about it,” he stated.
Several residents of UniLodge also said that there had been no talk of the afternoon rendezvous.
“It’s definitely something we would have heard about, word gets around in a place like this,” one female resident said.
“It’s pretty much impossible to get to the clock tower and I don’t think any resident would risk the chance of losing their accommodation [if they were caught],” she added. (ANI)
